card rankings in video poker

In this section of Mega Video Poker you will find the most important facts about Video Poker games. If you are not familiar with this version of the classic game of Poker, it is essential to get the grip of a series of Video Poker basics before you dive into the game.

Video Poker is a very popular game among Casino gamblers, mainly because it provides the best of traditional Poker features with a fast paced video Slot type of interface. If you want to get the most out of your Video Poker game you will need to learn some Video Poker basics. This will be useful to make decisions such as making the right bets and choosing the right machines to play.

When it comes to Video Poker, its basic aspects are mostly the same as in traditional land based Poker. In early Video Poker games, the player has a single deck of 52 playing cards that are constantly being shuffled by a random number generator (RNG) programmed in the machines' system. Usually, when you press the “deal” button, the first five cards from the top of the deck are displayed on the screen. You can then select to hold or discard those cards.

Pressing deal a second time will replace your former cards by new cards from the same deck. Since you play with a single set of cards, the cards that were not kept cannot be dealt a second time around. After the second deal is finished the player is either awarded or not, and a new round starts all over again. Each hand  works separately to the other, making a random selection of cards from the same set.

Although most of Video Poker machines work this way, there are newer types of Video Poker machines that have introduced new features and differences.
